Dr. Faiza Waheed is an Environmental Health Scientist, Health Impact Assessment (HIA) Lead at Intrinsik Corp., whose primary focus is the use of the HIA paradigm to assess potential positive and negative impacts of major infrastructure projects and policies on health.  Dr. Waheed specializes in the use of HIA as it applies to transportation projects, plans and policies.  During her Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto, she conducted research on health impacts of transportation.  Dr. Waheed is experienced in engaging stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, such as public health, transportation sector, non-governmental organizations, academia and the private sector.  She also has experience conducting scoping workshops as part of the HIA process. Dr. Waheed is also involved in planning and conducting systematic literature reviews. In her role as an Environmental Health Scientist, Health Impact Assessment (HIA) Lead, Dr. Waheed conducts Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessments for contaminated sites in Ontario and Canada.
