Electromagnetic Fields
Our rapidly evolving economy relies on safe, affordable, and efficient access to energy, technology, and telecommunications. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), electromagnetic fields (EMF) are “one of the most common and fastest growing environmental influences, about which anxiety and speculation are spreading”. The WHO further notes that all populations are now exposed to varying degrees of EMF, and the levels will continue to increase as technology advances.
Intrinsik can help private and public sector clients with the evaluation and communication of health concerns related to EMF exposures arising from:
- Cell phone towers
- Electrical transformers and transmission lines
- Wi-Fi in schools and public spaces
- Cell phones and radio-frequency radiation
- Railway electrification
- Renewable energy sources (wind and solar power)
We have experience in assessing potential exposures in residential and commercial areas that are located adjacent to potential sources of EMF, and have completed several EMF Management Plans.
