Sara Rodney has an academic background in statistics, ecotoxicology, ecology and geographic information systems, and over ten years experience conducting ecological risk assessments with Intrinsik Corp.  She primarily focuses on refined analyses of plant protection products including probabilistic exposure modeling and statistical evaluation of fate and toxicity data.  Sara has managed numerous projects for North American and European clients, and has been instrumental in developing ecological risk assessments in support of pesticide registrations.  She has developed several probabilistic exposure and risk models for wildlife potentially exposed to flowable and granular pesticides.  Sara is well acquainted with regulatory agency approaches and tools for pesticide risk assessment, and has been heavily involved in their review, including the U.S. EPA’s TEDtool for the biological evaluation of risks posed to threatened and endangered species.  Sara has also co-led the development of a number of comprehensive literature reviews in support of advancing risk assessment.  She has contributed to the development of environmental quality criteria and performance standards in Canada with the development of statistical applications, and has been involved in developing training materials for courses in ecotoxicology and statistics.
