Adric Olson is an Environmental Risk Analyst with Intrinsik Environmental Sciences (US) Inc.   He has helped conduct several risk assessments of pesticides in Canada and the United States. These pesticides have included atrazine, fenpropathrin, malathion, diazinon, and chlorpyrifos. He has also been involved in completing a probabilistic risk assessment for the Kirtland’s Warbler for both malathion and chlorpyrifos, and was involved in preparing senior staff to provide information for a deposition. Adric is also currently working to complete his doctorate degree from The Institute of Environmental and Human Health at Texas Tech University. His dissertation investigates the toxicity of perfluorinated compounds in aquatic systems. This research involved the use of laboratory- and field-based studies; analytical techniques including High Performance Liquid Chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry and chemical extraction from specimens, water and sediment; and statistical analysis and modeling. He obtained a master’s degree in Biology from Western Carolina University for his work determining the life history characteristics of a shiner endemic to the Southern Appalachians. Adric also has over a decade of experience with a variety of aquatic and terrestrial field sampling methods.
